Saw this idea in Cookie. Find a wooden window frame with 32 squares at a building supply salvage yard, get a peice of masonite the same size and paint it with chalkboard paint, attach one on top of the other and you have a family calendar that's as useful as it is attractive. I think I'm going to do this!

That is a great idea! I'm thinking it would be fun to create a family memo board that way. put cork and fabric behind the panes and dedicate each pane to a person or event, etc with pictures and trivia. A different take on the French memo board. ~m
