Somewhere Over It

The rainbow in the picture above was seen yesterday during a trip to the Blue Heron park. That's our favorite place to cavort outside and we usually see a blue heron somewhere while we're there, which I always see as good luck. There was a period when I never saw it and stopped looking, but the last two times we've visited, the blue heron has surprised me with its' flight. It figures that just about the time I stop looking for it, there it is offering up the very hope I forgot I really needed!

For those of you who might be wondering what they learned after performing a lumpectomy on my dear sweet mother Friday, it ended up being a cyst with nary a malignancy. It is NOT CANCER! WOO HOO! In my mind that is the real blue heron taking flight in front of my eyes, the true rainbow smiling down on me from above.
